Automatic Side Load recycling service
Every household receives a 95-gallon blue rolling cart before July 31. Your pickup schedule does not change. Keep using the current bins through June and July.
Old Bridge Township and the MCIA introduced Automatic Side Load (ASL) curbside recycling. Here is what residents need to know:
- Each household currently collected curbside by the MCIA receives a brand-new 95-gallon (blue) rolling cart with a lid.
- Your recycling schedule is not changing.
- Each cart has a serial number and barcode linked to your address. If you move, leave the cart for the new homeowners.
- All recycling must be placed inside the cart. Anything not in the cart will not be collected.
- Once ASL service begins, your old bins can go in the new cart to be recycled, or you can keep them.
Continue using the current bins for the months before ASL service starts. Recycling put at the curb in the new cart too early will not be collected. Check oldbridge.com/recycling for the acceptable-items list and delivery updates, and follow Old Bridge Township on Facebook and Instagram.
